fresh water going out to sea
In our particular case, there is naturally arising fresh water going out through a sluice in a sea wall. I am sure there are many other cases round the country where water is either flowing naturally at low tide times or being pumped into saline rivers.
It must be sensible that a significant amount of this water should be pumped back inland up the hill and put on the land. Once the water passes out into a saline area it is no longer useable for drinking or irrigation.
Why the contribution is important
Surely to 'make every drop count', this water should be recycled as a priority activity.
